hogsalt’s sweet contribution to the city’s doughnut scene
Doughnut Vault is like a not-so-secret treasure trove of doughnuts. It checks off all the boxes of a cult favorite – limited hours, limited space, limited doughnuts. They tweet out their flavors for the day and often sell out by 10am. The Franklin Street location actually looks like a vault, with a picturesque cottage blue painted sign outside and a line out the door all morning.
A part of the Hogsalt empire, Doughnut Vault specializes in old fashioned doughnuts, although they do also have yeasted and cake donut options. Selections vary everyday, but the classic buttermilk old fashioned is good enough to explain the city’s undying love for the spot. And if you don’t make it there in time, it’s also sold at other Hogsalt establishments.
